Mainstream registrations up 40% in UK & USA in May
This has been on the back of our partner’s huge growth of the Affinity platform in the mainstream dating sector. In May 2020 we recorded a 40.1% increase in new user registrations and 74.5% growth in initial sales in the UK and USA.

We have noted an increase in the conversion and revenue per user in territories under lockdown due to COVID-19. More people online equals a greater available traffic volume. We can attribute an increase in registrations and subscriptions to this lockdown effect as users are craving more human interaction while having less to do.
We have seen evidence of a drop in search volumes of about 11% (but not impression share) for dating in the Australian market. This coincides with the easing of lockdown restrictions there. We expect that the more gradual approach in the UK and mixed state level nature of the measures in the USA should cushion against any sudden changes as seen in Australia. So despite the horrible situation, there is promising business growth to be had out there now.
